Jump Crypto has started a bug bounty program that provides a substantial $1 million reward to Solana developers who can identify weaknesses in the upcoming independent validator named 'Firedancer'. This program, supported by Immunefi, will be active from July 10 to August 21, giving participating developers the opportunity to access the $1 million rewards pool upon successful detection of flaws.
Enhancing Solana Network Performance
The Firedancer validator client is expected to boost the efficiency of the Solana blockchain, particularly important during the current surge in network activity. Updates from pseudonymous developer @CantelopePeel suggest that the validator client's development is progressing smoothly, with the team actively testing the initial versions of the Solana consensus and fork choice algorithms.
Firedancer aims to support high trading volumes on Solana, ensuring a seamless network operation even during peak demand. Despite these advancements, the Solana price has dropped by 1.2% in the last 24 hours, now trading at $137 at 04:40 a.m. EST.
