  2. Implementation Phases
  3. Key Features and Takeaways

With the launch of Lumina, DIA introduces a completely revamped oracle architecture aimed at setting new standards for decentralized and trustless data in web3.

New Lumina Oracle Architecture

Lumina features a modular component architecture enabling the most advanced oracle capabilities: from data sourcing and verification to storage, processing, and delivery. All critical oracle operations are performed using DIA’s native L2 rollup, named 'Lasernet'. This architectural choice leverages the latest advancements in Ethereum scaling technology.

Lumina is the culmination of four years of web3 infrastructure innovation cast into one product. It lays the foundation for our vision of a truly decentralized and trustless oracle network that maximizes security and trust while retaining the flexibility to serve any use case.Zygis Marazas, DIA’s Head of Product

Implementation Phases

DIA plans a phased rollout of Lumina, starting with the introduction of the Lasernet testnet and an early bird staking initiative. The second phase will introduce the closed Lasernet mainnet and live staking, followed by the third phase, which will open the mainnet for widespread network participation.

The new design of our architecture is a paradigm shift for oracles and its users that addresses previously accepted shortcomings in the industry. We are more than excited to release the manifestation of our founding vision – truly decentralized and transparent oracles that will be easily integrated with our many existing partners.Paul Claudius, DIA’s cofounder

Key Features and Takeaways

With DIA’s trustless oracle network, data feeds can be provided for any token, LST, RWA, random numbers, and more to any blockchain. The permissionless network allows nodes and stakeholders to participate in distributed data sourcing, secured by cryptographic and crypto-economic techniques. All critical oracle operations are performed using DIA’s native Ethereum L2 rollup, 'Lasernet', ensuring complete verifiability and trustless computation.

The launch of Lumina by DIA opens new opportunities for decentralized and trustless data in the web3 world, setting new standards and enhancing the efficiency and security of oracle operations.
