Nvidia announced the restart of its H20 graphics processor deliveries to China and launched a new model, the RTX Pro, compliant with U.S. export regulations.
Restart of H20 Deliveries to China
Nvidia announced its intention to restart the shipments of its H20 graphics processor to China. In a statement, the AI hardware manufacturer noted that it has already applied to the U.S. Department of Commerce for the necessary licenses to continue H20 shipments. Approvals are expected "soon," and shipments to Chinese buyers will begin immediately after the paperwork is completed.
Release of RTX Pro and Its Features
As part of the resumption plan, Nvidia also introduced the RTX Pro graphics processor, which it claims is "fully compliant" with current regulations. This chip is aimed at artificial intelligence work in smart factories, logistics hubs, and other industrial settings within China.
Nvidia Management's Opinions on Defense Impact
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is actively trying to maintain ties in both Washington and Beijing. In a recent interview, he discussed concerns about U.S. technology being used by the Chinese military. Huang emphasized that China has enough computing power and that American chips are not necessary for their military infrastructure. He also stated that blocking shipments could negatively impact the U.S. leadership in high-tech sectors.
The resumption of H20 deliveries to China and the launch of the new RTX Pro highlight Nvidia's commitment to staying at the forefront of artificial intelligence technology despite export challenges and sanctions.
