Nvidia has announced its ambitious plans to create AI technology worth up to $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years.
Nvidia's Production Facilities in the U.S.
Nvidia is launching the production of new Blackwell AI chips at its TSMC plant in Phoenix, Arizona. The company is also building supercomputer factories with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. These facilities are expected to begin full production in 12 to 15 months. Nvidia has secured over a million square feet of space for chip and computer testing and production.
Impact of Domestic Investments on the Market
Currently, most of Nvidia's chips are made in Taiwan. However, due to rising U.S. tariffs and pressure to bring manufacturing back home, the company is shifting some of its operations to the U.S. This move also aligns with the strategies of other tech companies like Apple, which are making significant investments in American manufacturing.
Future of AI Factories and Job Creation
Nvidia's supercomputers will power new data centers referred to as "AI factories." These centers are designed to handle large amounts of AI data and tasks and are expected to create hundreds of thousands of jobs in the long run. Nvidia plans to use its own technologies, including digital twin software and robots developed with the Nvidia Isaac GR00T platform.
With the announcement of its long-term investments, Nvidia affirms its intention to position the U.S. as a key player in AI technology.
