OPay Digital Service Limited has announced the expansion of its 10-year scholarship program, adding Benue State University to the list of recipients. The allocated amount is N6 million.

During the event at Benue State University, Vice Chancellor Prof. Tor Joe Iorapuu stated that the assistance from OPay would have a significant impact on students, financially supporting their pursuit of education. Since its founding in 2018, OPay has significantly expanded its presence in Nigeria's digital economy, offering services such as money transfers, bill payments, and merchant solutions. The scholarship program, launched in 2023, aims to support 400 students every year for a decade. This year, OPay has already assisted six other institutions in Nigeria.
In addition to Benue State University, OPay continues to expand its program, planning to reach several other higher education institutions nationwide, reaffirming its commitment to enhancing educational opportunities for Nigeria's youth.
