OPay has announced the inclusion of the University of Calabar in its ₦1.2 billion scholarship program, set to support 400 students over the next decade.
Scholarship for University of Calabar Students
According to the signed Memorandum of Understanding, 20 outstanding students from the University of Calabar will each receive ₦300,000 annually, totaling ₦6 million this year. The initiative aims to support higher education in Nigeria amid financial difficulties.

At the event, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Florence Obi, praised the initiative, emphasizing that the scholarship program would help students focus on their studies and avoid dropping out. She remarked: "OPay’s generosity is deeply appreciated. This scholarship program is a very welcome initiative."
