Steam Next Fest is back, offering players a chance to showcase new playable demos. Many multiplayer and cooperative games in development are participating.
Horror Game: The Bornless
The Bornless is a horror-themed extraction shooter set on the mysterious island of Farmouth. Players go through three phases: looting, controlling ritual sites, and final extraction. Throughout matches, participants face off against each other and demonic threats. Survived items carry over into future sessions, allowing players to upgrade their gear and rituals.
Futuristic Brawler: Sparkball
Sparkball is a 4v4 arena brawler created by a team with experience from League of Legends and Overwatch. Unlike traditional MOBAs, the game focuses on pure real-time action and team coordination. Each match highlights skill shots and fast-paced objectives, and players can unlock free cosmetics by participating in the demo.
Roguelite Shooter: Riftstorm
Riftstorm combines shooter and roguelite elements in three-player co-op missions across mythical realms. Players can choose characters like Starling or Botsy and face evolving bosses and randomized rewards. Each run is unique due to scalable difficulty and equipment upgrades.
Steam Next Fest showcases a wide range of new multiplayer games, including horror shooters, arena brawlers, and roguelites. Players can try these projects until June 16.
