PEPE tokens have become a subject of discussion once again following recent transfers of significant amounts. The technological data and surrounding speculation about these operations continue to capture attention.
PEPE Tokens Transfer to Binance
According to onchain transaction data, some funds from the PEPE team's multisig wallet were transferred to a new account two days ago. Approximately 170 billion tokens worth $2.17 million were part of this transaction. Today, a portion of these funds, namely 6 billion PEPE tokens equivalent to $76,000, was transferred to the cryptocurrency exchange Binance. This has led to speculation that the remaining funds in the new wallet could also find their way to Binance.
Internal Conflicts Amid PEPE Developers
Previously, PEPE token developers faced disagreements which resulted in an unmanageable transfer of a large amount of tokens from their multisig wallets. As a result of the incident, the responsible developers were removed from the project, and there has been no similar incident since then.
Current PEPE Market Position
Despite the sudden decline in the past, PEPE managed to recover and is currently the third largest memecoin at the time of writing. Although it has gained 5% in the last 24 hours, it has seen a 13% decrease in value over the week.
The operations involving PEPE tokens highlight the ongoing volatility and complex internal dynamics of cryptocurrency projects. Despite past issues, PEPE continues to be a focal point in the market.
