The Pi Network App Studio is quickly becoming a vital part of the ecosystem. In just a few weeks, users have built and launched over 7900 decentralized applications.
App Studio Inspires Thousands of Developers
The App Studio was first introduced during the Pi2Day 2025 Ecosystem Challenge. This challenge provided users with an opportunity to learn and utilize new tools within the Pi Network. According to reports, more than 2.6 million people joined the challenge, and over 761,000 completed all the steps. Since the challenge began, users have created more than 7600 chatbot applications and over 14,100 custom apps. Approximately 34,800 people have participated in the app creation process.
Ease of App Creation on Pi Network
One of the goals of Pi Network is to make technology simple and open to everyone. The App Studio is designed to help achieve this by using easy tools that do not require coding experience. Many of the existing apps cover essential topics such as health, education, productivity, and entertainment. Furthermore, another part of the ecosystem that is growing is called Ecosystem Directory Staking.
Community Requests for Improved Features
Many users welcomed the App Studio and started using it, but not everyone was pleased. Some felt the early version didn't give them enough control, especially when trying to build more than just basic chatbots. One well-known community member shared his thoughts on social media, asking the Pi Core Team to add more tools and implement updates more quickly. Despite some limitations, the App Studio is providing creators with a genuine opportunity to grow and gain recognition.
The Pi Network App Studio shows active growth and successful community engagement, creating conditions for the development and support of decentralized applications.
