A recent report by DWF Ventures reveals a significant increase in crypto investments by public companies, with a total asset valuation of $76 billion.
Investment Strategies of Public Companies
DWF Ventures identified 14 public companies that have developed strategies for crypto investments. Over the past year, these companies have invested more than $40 billion in digital assets. Notable examples include Trump Media, GameStop, Metaplanet, Tesla, and Semler Scientific.
Composition of Crypto Assets
The report highlights that Bitcoin is the dominant asset among the crypto treasuries of public companies. However, it also mentions companies such as Nano Labs that are establishing altcoin treasuries, as well as investments in ETH, SOL, SUI, and TRX.
Discussion of Interesting Deals
One of the more interesting deals examined in the report is Tron’s reverse merger with Nasdaq-listed SRM Entertainment Inc. This merger will effectively allow Tron to go public in the U.S. SRM Entertainment has also entered into a $100 million equity agreement to fund its Tron treasury.
