Pump.fun, a Solana-based memecoin launchpad, has introduced its own decentralized exchange called PumpSwap, removing the need to migrate to Raydium and eliminating the 6 SOL fee.
Launch of PumpSwap
Pump.fun has officially launched PumpSwap, a new decentralized exchange on the Solana blockchain. Pump.fun tokens will now directly move to PumpSwap after completing their bonding curve, bypassing the need for migration to Raydium and waiving the 6 SOL fee. This also opens up the potential for future creator revenue sharing on the platform.
Features of the New Exchange
Every transaction on PumpSwap incurs a 0.25% fee, with 0.2% going to liquidity providers and 0.05% staying with the protocol. PumpSwap uses a constant product AMM model and is comparable to Uniswap v2 and Raydium v4. Pump.fun stated that their goal from the beginning was to create a product that could capture the interest of non-crypto natives.
Competition between Pump.fun and Raydium
PumpSwap arrives amid a competition between Pump.fun and Raydium. In 2025, trading volume on Pump.fun fell significantly, leading to a reduction in tokens migrating to Raydium. While Pump.fun tested its AMM features, Raydium has been developing a memecoin creation platform called LaunchLab. Even so, Raydium remains one of the largest decentralized exchanges on Solana, with a total value locked of $1.18 billion according to DeFiLlama.
The emergence of PumpSwap may become a notable milestone for Pump.fun, enabling the platform to strengthen its market position and offer a more accessible and sustainable token exchange mechanism.
