Raydium, one of the largest DeFi platforms on Solana, has unveiled its new memecoin launch platform called LaunchLab. The launch occurred on April 16 alongside the split from Pump.fun.
Key Features of LaunchLab
LaunchLab allows users to create and trade tokens on the Solana blockchain with minimal setup. The platform connects directly to Raydium's liquidity pools, enabling tokens to start trading almost immediately after launch. Benefits include adjustable bonding curves, 1% trading fees, and zero migration costs, making the platform more accessible for developers.
Relations with Pump.fun
The partnership with Pump.fun ended in March when Pump.fun launched its own DEX called PumpSwap. This allowed Raydium to focus on developing its own launchpad without direct competition.
Market Reaction
Following the announcement of LaunchLab, the Raydium token (RAY) jumped 13%, while Solana's token (SOL) increased by 4% within three hours, indicating a positive market response.
The launch of LaunchLab by Raydium might be a key event for the DeFi and memecoin market within Solana. The platform provides new opportunities for developers and users, potentially fostering increased interest in the ecosystem.
