Kaspa continues its development in the blockchain world by introducing the Crescendo Hardfork upgrade, aiming to increase the network speed to 10 blocks per second.
Crescendo Hardfork Implementation
The Kaspa protocol announced plans to increase block speed from 1 to 10 BPS as part of the Crescendo Hardfork upgrade. This upgrade aims to enhance the network's performance and efficiency.
Testnet 10 Status
According to reports, Testnet 10 has successfully transitioned to a speed of 10 BPS. This is a crucial step for the Crescendo upgrade, activated on March 7, 2025. Kaspa developer known as Coderofstuff confirmed the correctness of the upgrade's logic through extensive validation of several network components.
Future Innovations and Roadmap
Having achieved 10 BPS, Kaspa plans to roll out different and unique innovations. The roadmap outlines a feature freeze by March 20 and full mainnet activation aimed for late April/early May 2025. The primary Hardfork version is expected to be ready by the end of March.
Kaspa's innovations mark significant progress in blockchain technology and reinforce its position as one of the fastest PoW platforms.
