Ripple President Monica Long announced significant expansions in partnerships with Unicâmbio and other companies in Portugal and Brazil to strengthen the market position.
Ripple Payments Expansion
Ripple has announced a new strategic partnership with Portugal's leading currency exchange provider, Unicâmbio. The company's key corporate clients can now instantly perform cross-border payments using the Ripple Payments network. As part of this partnership, Unicâmbio will also participate in the payment corridor between Brazil and Portugal.
Issuance of Ripple RLUSD
Ripple continues to issue its new stablecoin, Ripple USD (RLUSD). In the past 14 hours, 425,000 and 625,000 RLUSD have been issued, with a total of 9,100,000 RLUSD released over the weekend. The issuance follows the stablecoin's listing on platforms Revolut and Zero Hash.
Impact on XRP Price
Despite significant developments from Ripple, the third-largest digital currency, XRP, has shown only a marginal growth of 5%, followed by a slight drop.
The expansion of payment services and issuance of new stable currencies are aimed at strengthening Ripple's position in the global market, especially in economically significant regions.
