Ripple's RLUSD stablecoin may soon be listed on several major cryptocurrency exchanges. Ripple President Monica Long shared plans for the future distribution of this digital currency.
Current Listings and Ripple's Plans
Currently, RLUSD is listed on platforms such as Bitso, MoonPay, and CoinMina, among others. Monica Long confirmed in an interview that Ripple is actively working on expanding this list to make RLUSD more accessible. Although specific exchanges were not mentioned, it is anticipated that major platforms may add this stablecoin soon.
Growing Demand for Stablecoins
The demand for RLUSD is largely due to the success of Ripple's payments business, which doubled its volumes last year. Long anticipated a significant increase in demand for stablecoins in 2024, linked to overall cryptocurrency market growth. According to DefiLlama, the stablecoin market was valued at $206.17 billion, a 55% increase from the previous year.
Partnership with Chainlink
Ripple partnered with Chainlink to integrate price feeds for RLUSD into the DeFi sector. This collaboration aims to create precise and manipulation-resistant data to support the operation of decentralized financial applications.
Ripple continues to actively develop its RLUSD product by expanding its presence on cryptocurrency exchanges and increasing demand for stablecoins. Collaboration with key market players like Chainlink provides additional opportunities to strengthen the position of this instrument in the market.
