According to a new Helika report, interest in NFTs and the duration of gaming sessions in Telegram's gaming ecosystem significantly increased in the third quarter of 2024.

Growth in NFT Activity and Gaming Sessions

The number of unique wallets engaging in NFT transactions rose from 200,000 to over 1 million during the quarter. 600,000 wallets actively participated in NFT transactions within games. The time players spent in Telegram games nearly doubled, from 2.8 to 6.7 minutes.

Significant Achievements of Key Projects

Catizen successfully completed its initial airdrops, distributing 34% of its total token allocation, including 150 million tokens in September 2024. Additionally, Binance listed Catizen on the Launchpool, allowing users to farm native tokens ahead of trading. Gamee experienced a 300% increase in volume and transactions month over month. X Empire attracted nearly 48 million players, with 18 million connecting their wallets to engage with game features. Rocky Rabbit had 30 million players, and Banana reached 10 million users by October. Wonton surpassed 1 million users within its first week.

Challenges and Solutions for Game Developers

The report also highlights challenges faced by developers, such as limited marketing budgets and user acquisition as the number of new games increases. To overcome these challenges, developers are expanding genre diversity, including simulations, RPGs, and puzzles, indicating the gradual evolution of Telegram's gaming ecosystem.
