Following the successful launch of its open mainnet, Pi Network introduces two-factor authentication to enhance security and ensure users' smooth migration.
Pi Network Launches Two-Factor Authentication
On March 13, Pi Network introduced a two-factor authentication (2FA) feature requiring some users to complete 2FA to successfully migrate their Pi tokens to the Mainnet blockchain.
How to Set Up 2FA on Pi Network
Some users already have a trusted email linked to their account. Others must set it up before proceeding. Steps include: 1. Set Up a Trusted Email. Users complete a liveness check to verify account ownership. 2. Confirm Migration Wallet. Users receive prompts to complete 2FA. 3. Verify via Email. Users confirm access to their migration wallet.
What Happens If You Don’t Complete 2FA?
Security demands completing 2FA within a 14-day pending period, or Pi tokens will be returned to the mining app. This period allows for additional security checks before final confirmation of transactions.
The implementation of 2FA is crucial for securing users' wallets. Pioneers must act swiftly to complete 2FA and ensure a smooth transition to Mainnet.
