Solana Mobile, a sister company of Solana Labs, has announced the launch of its second-generation Seeker smartphone. Set to be available on August 4, 2025, it will feature the SKR token as a core component of a new Web3 mobile ecosystem.
Seeker Smartphone Specifications
The Seeker smartphone is priced at $500 and has already received over 150,000 pre-orders from 57 countries during the Early Adopter phase. The device is equipped with Seed Vault and dApp Store features that provide secure access to decentralized applications.
SKR Token Launch
In support of the Seeker smartphone, the SKR token will also be launched, designed to reward users, developers, and hardware manufacturers. Users will earn SKR by interacting with applications within the ecosystem.
TEEPIN Architecture
Solana Mobile introduces TEEPIN (Trusted Execution Environment Platform Infrastructure Network), aimed at creating secure relationships among users and devices without central entities. Trust is established through time-tested cryptographic code.
The launch of the Seeker smartphone and SKR token, along with the introduction of the TEEPIN architecture, marks a significant step forward in the application of blockchain technology in mobile use. Solana Mobile aims to build a decentralized mobile network where users can actively participate in managing applications.
