The US District Court for the Southern District of New York ordered the forfeiture of approximately $1 billion in assets from former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried. This includes 55.2 million Robinhood shares, repurchased by the company for $605.7 million.

Bankman-Fried's legacy includes two aircraft, substantial cryptocurrency holdings, and involvement in Alameda Research, a trading firm co-founded by Bankman-Fried.
Political Donations Involvement
Numerous political donations made by the billionaire or directed in the name of other FTX executives, including Ryan Salame and Nishad Singh, were returned to the government. The donations were directed to organizations and candidates across the political spectrum.
Crypto Assets of the Billionaire
Among the confiscated cryptocurrency assets of Sam Bankman-Fried are large sums of Tether, as well as Bitcoin, Ether, Cardano, and Dogecoin. These assets were often held in Binance.US and various banks.
Sam Bankman-Fried was charged with eight criminal offenses. Found guilty, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison and has appealed the verdict. Currently, FTX has commenced repayments for creditors with claims up to $50,000.
