A recent post on X from a SHIB-linked account has drawn attention to a message from founder Ryoshi sent to the community before his disappearance.
The Return of Ryoshi's Message
The account “Shibarium/BONE Updates” on X (@Shibizens) published a link to Heipit.app, which operates on Shibarium, along with an image of a young man resembling a character from old-school video games. This image was accompanied by Ryoshi's message, where he expressed his humility: "I am nobody. I have said from the beginning, I am a nobody, I am not important."
Ryoshi's Account Deletion
On May 30, the pseudonymous SHIB founder Ryoshi deleted all his posts on Twitter and other social media platforms, as well as his personal blog posts on Medium. In one of his messages, he warned that he would disappear one day, similar to Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto. However, his departure did not have significant impact on SHIB's price, which fell only 6% that day.
Current Status of SHIB
Since then, the project has been led by another pseudonymous SHIB enthusiast and investor known as Shytoshi Kusama. The community continues to remember Ryoshi, citing his messages from time to time. On October 28, the second-largest meme cryptocurrency SHIB reached an all-time high of $0.00008845, but it is currently trading at $0.00001346, which is 84.77% down from that historic peak.
The SHIB community continues to honor Ryoshi's legacy by sharing his messages and preserving the memory of his contribution to the project, despite changes in leadership.
