Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has introduced a new plan to simplify the blockchain's functionality to attract more developers and improve its performance.
Buterin's Plan to Simplify Ethereum
Vitalik Buterin acknowledged that complex architecture makes it difficult to onboard new developers. He proposes simplifying Ethereum to the level of Bitcoin to reduce costs of creating and maintaining blockchain infrastructure.
Competing with Bitcoin in the Future
He noted that simplifying Ethereum's code will make it more accessible to developers. Buterin specified that setting a maximum code limit could attract more participants to the project.
Decentralization and Ethereum Price Forecast
Despite criticism of Ethereum’s transition to Proof-of-Stake, Buterin believes simplification could restore elements of decentralization. Currently, Ethereum represents 74% of the market for tokenized U.S. Treasuries. Price forecasts suggest Ethereum may reach key resistance levels in the near future.
Vitalik Buterin's proposition to simplify Ethereum could significantly impact its evolution, but it will take time to see how these changes will affect the ecosystem and its competition with Bitcoin.
