SpaceX is set to launch a crew on a unique mission financed by Chun Wang, founder of the Bitcoin mining pool F2Pool.
Historic Mission
A crew of four is preparing to fly on a polar orbit mission never before attempted. The Fram2 mission, conducted by SpaceX and funded by Chun Wang, is set to launch from Cape Canaveral late Monday night at 9:46 p.m. ET. The SpaceX capsule will embark on a journey providing a unique view of Earth, passing over the North and South Poles.
Research in Space
The project includes numerous studies, such as examining human body changes during space travel. The crew will participate in studies on brain fluid shifts and sleep disturbances. They will also study space adaptation syndrome, affecting over 60% of astronauts.
Gender Equality in Space
The British startup Hormona will conduct an experiment to track hormonal changes in female astronauts. This study could help close the 'gender data gap' in medicine. Additionally, the crew will perform experiments on mushroom growth and observe polar auroras.
Financing by Chun Wang enables SpaceX to undertake a historic mission that may significantly enhance our knowledge of space and its effects on humans.
