Square Enix has announced the conclusion of the third season of its Symbiogenesis non-fungible token (NFT) game and unveiled the roadmap for the final season.
Overview of Symbiogenesis NFT Game
In February 2025, Square Enix declared the end of the third season of Symbiogenesis and the impending arrival of the final season. The game company initially announced the project back in November 2022, including it in its portfolio of renowned blockchain-based games. Symbiogenesis invites players to explore the narrative by solving various mysteries and confronting the threat of a 'dragon' on the Floating Continent. Players progress through missions, unlock story chapters, and can team up to achieve collective goals.
Final Season Announcement
Square Enix has announced that the final season of Symbiogenesis will begin in late April, covering chapters 4-6 of the story. Chapter five is scheduled for mid-May, with chapter six to follow in mid-June. Character sales are expected to conclude in late July.
New Features in the Final Season
A new in-game feature called 'Stella Wars' will be introduced in the final season. Players will join one of six factions and compete to claim Stellas. The faction that claims the most Stellas will select a champion to partake in the final World Mission. The final mission is set to occur in late July.
