According to a regulatory filing submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on April 21, Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, acquired 6,556 BTC. At the time of purchase, this amount was approximately $555.8 million.
Financial Strategy
The company also stated that the funds for the Bitcoin purchase were raised through the Common ATM market and the unique STRK ATM market. These mechanisms generate capital by selling shares directly in the market.
Current BTC Market Situation
Currently, the company's total Bitcoin holdings amount to 538,200 BTC, with an approximate value of $36.47 billion. The average cost per BTC in Strategy's portfolio is $67,766. Recently, Bitcoin surpassed its previous monthly high, reaching $87,638.
Strategy's purchase highlights the company's ongoing strategy to accumulate Bitcoin despite financial challenges. The company's overall debt is around $8 billion.
