BTC Treasury Reserve Serves as Strategy’s Growth Catalyst
Bitcoin serves as the primary reserve asset for Strategy. Over the past five years, it has heavily invested in a Bitcoin accumulation strategy, acquiring over 600,000 Bitcoin. According to its new filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the company purchased an additional 4,225 Bitcoin for approximately $472.5 million between July 7 and July 13, bringing its total holdings to 601,550 BTC valued at over $70.9 billion.
Metaplanet Learns From MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin Playbook
Metaplanet, a Japanese financial company, is also making significant strides with its Bitcoin accumulation strategy, inspired by Strategy. In early July, it reported the purchase of 2,205 Bitcoin worth about $238.7 million at the time, increasing its total crypto holdings to 15,555 BTC. The company aims to accumulate 210,000 Bitcoin by 2027, which is about 1% of the total supply.
