A recent study conducted by the National Cryptocurrency Association (NCA) revealed that a lack of information is a major barrier to digital asset adoption among Americans.
Study on Lack of Information
According to the study commissioned by the NCA, nearly 70% of 2,000 non-crypto holders surveyed expressed a desire for more information before considering the use of digital assets.
Openness to Learning
About half of those polled indicated they lacked an understanding of how cryptocurrencies work, while many others voiced concerns about safety, fraud, and the individuals behind the projects. A total of 34% of participants were open to learning more about digital assets.
NCA and Ripple Activities
The NCA is led by Stuart Alderoty, chief legal officer of Ripple Labs. Launched in March, the nonprofit is backed by a $50 million grant from Ripple to help Americans make sense of crypto.
Thus, studies show that despite high interest in digital assets, the lack of reliable information remains a significant barrier to their adoption.
