Sugarverse has announced raising $1M to develop innovative Web3 games, starting with Sugar Match, set to launch this summer on Tezos Layer-2.

Bringing Sustainability to Web3 Gaming

The Web3 gaming space is rapidly growing but faces challenges in maintaining in-game economy stability. Sugarverse, with a track record of launching over 10 successful Web2 games with over 60 million players, is bringing its expertise to Web3. They aim to offer fair and continuous rewards for all players, not just early adopters, using the $CNDY token.

Our goal is to create a game economy that rewards players at every stage, not just those who get in first.Nikolay Mitev, Co-Founder and CEO of Sugarverse

A New Era for Web3 Mobile Gaming

Sugar Match marks the studio’s transition into Web3 and is the first of five interconnected mobile casual games designed to bridge traditional gaming and blockchain technology. 'Mobile gaming is booming, and we believe Web3 should be just as accessible,' Mitev added.

Key Focus Areas for Sugarverse

The newly raised funds will help tackle three major challenges in Web3 gaming:

1. **Better Gameplay & Engagement** – Sugarverse prioritizes fun and smooth gameplay over blockchain mechanics. 2. **Seamless Onboarding** – A guest mode lets players start without needing a wallet, easing them into Web3. 3. **Sustainable Rewards** – Inspired by online poker, Sugarverse’s economy provides long-term balanced rewards, avoiding the boom-and-bust cycle.

Sugarverse aims to revolutionize blockchain gaming with a sustainable rewards model, making Web3 games accessible to a wide audience.
