Sui, in collaboration with financial platform xMoney and crypto super-app xPortal, has announced the launch of a virtual Mastercard to enable European users to make payments using cryptocurrency.
Partnership between Sui and xMoney
Sui is expanding its capabilities in everyday payments through a partnership with xMoney and xPortal. This collaboration will allow users to easily and quickly use their cryptocurrency to pay for goods and services.
Features of the Virtual Mastercard
The newly introduced virtual Mastercard will be integrated into the xPortal app, which is already used by 2.5 million people. Users will be able to add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay and use it for purchases at over 20,000 merchants. A physical card is expected to be released later in 2025.
Future Plans and Service Expansion
Sergiu Biris, CEO of xPortal, emphasized that Sui's performance and community were key reasons for the integration. The company plans to expand into the U.S. and introduce new enterprise services, which will be announced at the upcoming Sui Basecamp event.
The launch of the virtual Mastercard for users in Europe marks an important step toward broader adoption of cryptocurrencies in everyday financial services.
