  4. In June, the Sui Bridge incentive program kicked off, inviting the community to test the Sui Bridge Testnet implementation by transferring assets to and from Ethereum Sepolia. The program concluded with over 184,000 transactions, leading to significant improvements in functionality and security.

    Key Program Metrics

Throughout the incentive program, more than 184,000 transactions were completed, helping to identify and fix bugs, improve features, and enhance overall user experience. Participants in the testing process ensured Sui Bridge met the highest standards of performance and security. Key metrics of the program included:

    * **Transaction Metrics**: * Total transactions: over 184,000 * Inbound transactions: over 127,000 * Outbound transactions: over 57,000 * **Participation Metrics**: * Participated validators: 66 * Unique SUI addresses: over 10,000 * Unique ETH addresses: over 24,000 * Bugs reported: over 100 * Feedback submissions: over 1,100 * **Incentive Metrics**: * Bridge activity using Sui Bridge frontend: * SUI addresses seen on frontend: 9,896 * SUI addresses eligible for rewards: 6,577 * Discord feedback: * SUI addresses eligible for rewards: 1,096 * Total rewards distributed: 98,669 SUI

    Key Learnings and Insights

The feedback and data gathered from the community have been instrumental in refining Sui Bridge. Several bugs were identified and resolved, including issues like bridging zero amount and frontend performance enhancements. Significant improvements in frontend performance were achieved by using a custom indexer to serve data.

Additionally, it was noted that the gas cost of bridging assets back to Ethereum is higher than desired due to the number of signature verifications required. A solution to reduce these costs is actively being developed for future releases of Sui Bridge.

    What’s Next for Sui Bridge

Looking ahead, the upcoming Mainnet launch of Sui Bridge is an exciting development on the horizon. This milestone will bring a secure, cost-effective native bridge to Sui, allowing users to easily transfer assets between Sui and Ethereum. Future plans include ongoing development of Sui Bridge, including support for more assets and integrations with other chains.

Continuous community engagement will play a crucial role in enhancing Sui Bridge. Stay tuned for more updates on community initiatives, and thank you for being an instrumental part of this journey!

The Sui Bridge incentive program has achieved significant success, identifying and resolving numerous bugs and enhancing functionality and security. The future of the project includes the Mainnet launch and further development with support for new assets. The community remains a vital part of this process.
