The IOTA and Shimmer communities received an important update from Tangle Treasury aimed at enhancing data and financial security.
Improvements in Tangle Treasury
To mitigate risks associated with fund allocations, Tangle Treasury unveiled a new counter-terrorist financing (CTF) and anti-money laundering (AML) policy. These improved screening features will enhance operational efficiency and protect community investments.
Appointment of Nicole O'Brien
To oversee all processes, Tangle Treasury appointed Nicole O'Brien as the CTF/AML officer. O'Brien will ensure adherence to best practices, enhance internal protocols, and provide staff training.
Additional Security Measures and Innovations
Besides the CTF and AML policy, Tangle DAO has implemented additional protective measures such as rigorous background checks and enhanced know-your-customer (KYC) procedures for all proponents and grant recipients. Innovations include improved data security, bookkeeping, and the introduction of standard operating procedures for finance administration and grant management.
These advancements, along with enhanced data security and standard operating procedures, will boost Tangle Treasury’s efficiency and professionalism. Further updates, including a call for new proposals, are expected in the coming weeks.
