Telegram announced the expansion of its TON-based Wallet, providing its 100 million users access to over 50 new altcoins.
Wallet Expansion
The Open Platform (TOP) announced plans to extend Telegram Wallet's crypto custody services. Previously, the wallet supported trading in several cryptocurrencies, including TON, Bitcoin (BTC), and USDT.
Support for New Altcoins
With the new feature set to take effect in two months, users will be able to trade more than 50 new altcoins, including popular cryptocurrencies like Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Dogecoin (DOGE), and PEPE. The complete token list has yet to be finalized, but the update will significantly enhance user opportunities.
Earn Feature for Users
Wallet users will be offered an 'Earn' feature that allows them to earn returns from assets including Tether (USDT). In the first phase, new altcoins will only be allowed to be bought, sold, and stored within the wallet.
This update reflects Telegram's commitment to expanding its ecosystem and offering users access to new opportunities in the cryptocurrency space.
