Tether's Investment Strategy
Since September 2022, Tether has been steadily increasing its Bitcoin assets, following a strategy of allocating 15% of net profit to BTC purchases. This strategy, announced in May 2023, supports the company's long-term diversification goals.
Company's Financial Performance
Tether continues to be one of the most profitable entities in the cryptocurrency sector. According to its latest audit report, the company made a net profit of $13 billion in 2024, with a significant portion attributed to interest income on US Treasury bonds and unrealized gains from assets such as BTC and gold.
At current valuations, Tether's Bitcoin reserves represent an unrealized gain of approximately $3.86 billion, underscoring the success of their investment strategy.
