Tether, known as the world's leading stablecoin issuer, announced the expansion of its investment portfolio featuring over 120 companies across various sectors.
120+ Companies in Portfolio
As of July 2025, Tether has backed over 120 companies worldwide, spanning sectors such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, payments, renewable energy, Bitcoin mining, agriculture, and tokenization.
Funding from Record-Breaking Profits
Tether's investments are not sourced from the reserves of stablecoins like USDT but are financed directly from the company's profits, which surged to $13.7 billion in 2024. All investments are managed under Tether's dedicated venture arm, ensuring a clean separation from the reserves backing digital assets, enhancing investor trust and regulatory clarity.
Strategic Investment Vision
Tether is channeling funds into payment infrastructure, emergent financial systems, artificial intelligence, biotech, renewable energy, and next-generation digital solutions. CEO Paolo Ardoino shared plans for at least $1 billion in further investments over the next 12 months, with projections for total annual venture spending in the $2.5–3 billion range.
By amplifying its influence and actively fostering innovation across key industries, Tether positions itself not just as a stablecoin issuer but as a cornerstone investor shaping the future of digital finance and technology on a global scale.
