The survey published in Zamora 24 showed that over 50% of Spanish crypto investors are willing to hold Bitcoin long-term. The data also reveal that USDC and Ethereum remain popular assets.
Increase in Number of Crypto Traders in Spain
According to the European Central Bank's study, the number of Spanish crypto traders has doubled since 2022. Despite this, Spain lags behind other European countries, such as Slovenia and Greece, where interest in cryptocurrencies reaches 15% and 14%.
Confidence in Bitcoin’s Long-Term Trajectory
Among the reasons for choosing HODLing, 57% of Spaniards see Bitcoin as an opportunity to earn extra income, while 19% use it for payments. This strategy is based on belief in the sustained growth of cryptocurrency value in the future.
The number of Spanish crypto traders continues to grow, which could contribute to further adoption of digital assets. Domestic banks plan to facilitate trading with Bitcoin, potentially increasing confidence in the HODLing strategy.
