The TON platform, spun out of Telegram, has launched a new program offering 10-year Golden Visas for UAE residency, requiring a stake of $100,000 in Toncoin.
TON Golden Visas and Application Conditions
TON has announced a Golden Visa program providing the opportunity for UAE residency through a three-year stake of $100,000 in Toncoin, along with a one-time processing fee of $35,000.
"Secure your Golden Visa in under 7 weeks from document submission to the Visa Office," TON stated, designating that UAE-based partners will manage the visa processing.
Advantages of the Program Compared to Traditional Visas
Unlike traditional Golden Visa routes that typically require a minimum investment of $540,000, TON’s program significantly reduces the entry threshold. "The entry cost is 5x lower than an equivalent real estate investment," remarked Bobby Ong, co-founder of CoinGecko. The program also allows participants to retain control of their assets during the staking period via decentralized smart contracts on the TON blockchain.
Impact on the Toncoin Market
Following the announcement, Toncoin's price surged over 10%. At the time of writing, the token trades around $2.98, up more than 8% over the past day, though it remains down over 60% compared to the previous year.
TON's new program simplifies access to residency in the UAE for crypto investors and highlights the country’s aim to be a leader in blockchain innovation.
