Recent rumors suggested that a Golden Visa could be obtained in the United Arab Emirates by staking Toncoin. The TON Foundation issued an official statement denying this information.
Denial of Golden Visa Program Rumors
In a blog post, the TON Foundation stated that the initiative to obtain a Golden Visa has no direct or indirect relation to any governmental entities in the UAE. “We understand the interest and excitement of our community on this issue, but we want to clarify. This initiative is not being implemented in a formal partnership with the UAE government, and Toncoin has not been given any official approval,” said representatives of the foundation.
Details of Toncoin Collaboration
The TON Foundation noted that this initiative is an independent collaboration between Toncoin and a licensed partner specializing in blockchain infrastructure and tokenized assets. Currently, the project is in its early stages, exploring how a regulatory-compliant blockchain infrastructure might be integrated into residency programs in the future.
Statement from UAE Authorities
The foundation also supported the joint statement made by the UAE Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP), Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), and Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). In this statement, it was clearly indicated that no Golden Visa program was launched through cryptocurrency investment.
Thus, the rumors regarding obtaining a Golden Visa in the UAE through staking Toncoin have been proven unfounded. The UAE authorities confirmed the absence of such programs, while the TON Foundation continues its work within an independent partnership.
