Cryptocurrency analytics firm Santiment recently shared data on the altcoins that developers have concentrated on the most over the last 30 days. The information was derived from the modifications made by developers in the open-source codes of various cryptocurrency projects on the platform Github. Here are the top 10 altcoins that have garnered developer attention, along with their respective developer scores:
- Hedera (HBAR) – 552
- Optimism (OP) – 543
- Cardano (ADA) – 539
- Chainlink (LINK) – 442
- Starknet (STRK) – 384
- Status (SNT) – 355
- Internet Computer (ICP) – 336
- Cosmos (ATOM) – 291
- Polkadot (DOT) – 274
- Kusama (KSM) – 274
Notably, Ethereum is absent from this list; however, layer-2 networks aiming to enhance Ethereum's scalability are frequently featured. A surprising addition to the developer list this May is Starknet (STRK), which was not previously a common inclusion.
There has been contention surrounding the Github pages of cryptocurrency projects, with instances of spammy code alterations to inflate developer activity. Santiment has addressed this issue by implementing a specialized method to filter out such spam-driven developer engagements.
