President-elect Donald Trump's World Liberty Financial platform has announced integration with Chainlink's price feeds to provide real-time, tamper-proof data for its DeFi project.
WLFI Integration with Chainlink
According to a November 14th announcement, WLFI will utilize Chainlink oracles on the Ethereum mainnet to power its platform, based on an Aave V3 instance. This integration will provide reliable and tamper-proof data for the DeFi project.
Benefits and Statements
WLFI's choice to integrate Chainlink as its oracle provider follows a successful test with the SWIFT system and further growth of the Chainlink ecosystem. Eric Trump, the Web3 ambassador of World Liberty Financial, commented on the integration: 'World Liberty Financial's partnership with Chainlink marks a huge step forward. Never before have we been more bullish on crypto or the overall future of DeFi technology.'
Oracle Market Competition
Despite Chainlink's successes, competitors such as Pyth network, Chronicle, and Redstone are beginning to capture market share. In October 2024, Pyth surpassed Chainlink in 30-day transaction volume. However, Chainlink remains the dominant oracle provider in terms of total value secured.
The integration of Chainlink with Donald Trump's WLFI platform highlights the growing importance of accurate data for DeFi projects, yet the competition in the oracle market is intensifying.
