The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure is teaming up with the Shiba Inu project to explore Web3 applications in public services, sustainable infrastructure, and digital governance.
Leveraging ShibOS for Integrated Government Operations
The partnership will utilize Shiba Inu’s ShibOS to streamline MOEI’s operational processes. By embedding decentralized technologies into government frameworks, the UAE aims to enhance service delivery and foster an inclusive, citizen-centric governance model.
Driving Sustainable and Digital Excellence
The UAE has long been a leader in adopting technology in governance. Engineer Sharif Al Olama reiterated the nation's vision of a sustainable and interconnected future, noting that "embracing decentralized technologies will play a crucial role in achieving our sustainability and digital transformation goals."
UAE’s Blockchain Vision: A Legacy of Innovation
This initiative aligns with the UAE’s broader strategy to integrate blockchain into governmental operations. Since the launch of the UAE Blockchain Strategy 2021, the country has made significant strides towards transitioning 50% of government transactions to blockchain platforms, enabling savings of over $3 billion in processing costs and 77 million work hours annually.
The collaboration with Shiba Inu underscores the UAE’s commitment to being a recognized leader in decentralized technologies. It serves as an example for other nations exploring Web3 possibilities in public services.
