Upbit, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea, has announced the launch of new trading pairs for two digital assets: HYPER and BABY.
Announcement of New Trading Pairs
On July 10, Upbit announced the addition of new trading pairs for two digital assets: HYPER (HYPER/KRW) and BABY (BABY/BTC and BABY/USDT). An official statement from the exchange confirmed that the HYPER/KRW trading pair would be available from 17:00 KST, while the BABY/BTC and BABY/USDT pairs would start trading at 16:00.
Price Movements of HYPER
Prior to the announcement, HYPER was trading at approximately $0.15 with a market cap of over $26.7 million. After the listing announcement, HYPER’s price surged by more than 95% to reach $0.31. It continued its upward trajectory, hitting $0.33 and a market cap exceeding $58 million. As of the time of writing, HYPER is trading above $0.29 with a market cap of over $51 million.
Price Movements of BABY
At the time of the announcement, BABY was trading at $0.04 with a market cap of over $118 million. Following the announcement, the price of BABY increased by almost 7%, reaching $0.05, resulting in a market cap of more than $133 million. Currently, BABY is trading above $0.05, with a market cap of over $124 million.
