Hyper Foundation has announced new opportunities for users wishing to become validators in their network. This update includes open access for everyone, promoting decentralization and improving the network's security.
Validator Access Now Open
Anyone can now register as a validator in the Hyper network. However, validators are required to have technical skills and to explore the testnet first to understand the responsibilities of maintaining node infrastructure. The top 21 validators by staked tokens will be considered active and will participate in consensus, earning rewards.
Delegation Program and Community Support
The Delegation Program, which will launch in the coming days, will allow token holders to delegate their HYPE to those who run validators. This will create an extra layer of community support and is similar to delegation programs seen on networks like Cosmos and Avalanche.
New Proposals to Enhance Validator Efficiency
The upcoming Pectra upgrade in Ethereum includes the EIP-7251 proposal, which raises the maximum effective balance a validator can stake from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. This allows validators to consolidate their assets efficiently, helping to reduce overall network overhead.
The updates being implemented by Hyper Foundation create new opportunities for network participants, promoting decentralization and improving the network overall.
