Ride-hailing services are integral to Nigeria's transit system, but growing discontent with inDrive focuses on safety and driver behavior.

Incident with @sea_4_mgodz

On March 20, user @sea_4_mgodz shared a distressing experience with inDrive, sparking outrage. Her ride ended in an alleged assault. After the driver mistakenly took her to the wrong location, she agreed to a higher fare, but upon arrival, he demanded even more money. When she refused, he allegedly grabbed her bag.

Escalation with @shelovesore

Another incident occurred on March 12 when @shelovesore faced a payment dispute. The driver demanded extra money for time in traffic and allegedly blocked her when she refused to pay. The user expressed dissatisfaction over the traumatic experience and the lack of proper driver evaluation by inDrive.

Retaliation over a Review

On March 19, @uxtobiaf reported harassment over a negative review about a driver. She claimed the driver and his friends publicly exposed her information online, threatening her over the review. The user highlighted a lack of protection when relying on inDrive services.

The rising number of complaints on the inDrive platform in Nigeria raises serious questions about user safety and protection. While the company claims strict measures and support, it remains unclear how effectively they are applied.
