Brazilian company VERT announced the launch of a new blockchain platform for structured credits, issuing a BRL 700 million certificate on XRP Ledger.
Launch of VERT's Blockchain Platform
VERT has launched its new blockchain platform for structured credits, issuing a Certificate of Agribusiness Receivables (CRA) for BRL 700 million (~USD 130 million) on the XRP Ledger. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in agribusiness, which contributes 20.4% to Brazil's GDP in 2023.
Integration with EVM Sidechain
The platform leverages the low-cost infrastructure of XRPL, combined with the Ethereum-compatible EVM Sidechain launched on June 30, 2025. This enables real-time traceability and smart contract automation, significantly improving the efficiency of traditional financial services.
Global Prospects and Future
VERT plans to expand its platform to over $500 million, targeting new asset classes amid an evolving regulatory landscape. The initiative not only strengthens Brazil's capital markets but also sets a global standard for blockchain adoption in finance.
The launch of the VERT platform marks a significant step in modernizing Brazil's structured credit market, opening new horizons for blockchain technology in the financial sector.
