Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, has made a substantial donation of 10 million Thai Baht to Khao Kheow Zoo to support its development and create a dedicated exhibit for the famous hippopotamus Moo Deng.

Buterin expressed his admiration for the zoo's work in education and animal welfare in a letter to the zoo's director. He noted the donation will be made in two installments of five million Baht each, to be delivered in December 2024 and 2025.
Plans for Zoo Improvement
The funds will be used to enhance zoo operations, including creating a new exhibit for Moo Deng. The continued interest in the hippo led to the creation of the Moo Deng token, which recently saw significant growth.
Impact on MOODENG Token
Despite ongoing interest in Moo Deng, the MOODENG token is currently trading lower at $0.277. Its market cap stands at $274.75 million, with trading volume up by 23.65% over the last 24 hours to $98.44 million.
