The Web3 Alliance of Saudi Arabia (WASA) has launched with leading global Web3 entities: SandBox, Animoca Brands, and Outlier Ventures. WASA operates as a non-profit organization aiming to unite blockchain and digital innovation leaders to drive Web3 adoption in Saudi Arabia in line with Vision 2030.
Importance and Goals of WASA
WASA aims to create a collaborative ecosystem for businesses and sustainable growth within the country. It brings together international and local leaders to support the Kingdom's digital transformation. In 2023, Outlier Ventures started the Saudi Base Camp program, and in 2024 Animoca Brands announced a strategic partnership with NEOM Investment Fund to support Web3 development.
