The WLFI project, linked to former U.S. President Donald Trump, has acquired SEI tokens worth $775,000. Despite significant investments, the project's portfolio is in the red.
Purchase of SEI Tokens
On April 12, WLFI bought 4.89 million SEI tokens through a trading wallet associated with the project. This purchase was funded through a USDC transfer from the project’s main wallet.
WLFI's Financial Losses
Despite spending around $347 million on 11 different tokens, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, WLFI's portfolio is currently facing a loss of approximately $145.8 million. The position in Ethereum alone has dropped more than $114 million.
Connection to the Crypto Market
Reports indicate that Binance executives met with U.S. Treasury officials to ease regulatory pressures and potentially re-enter the American market. There are also claims about a possible partnership between Binance and a Trump-linked crypto project.
WLFI's investments in SEI tokens highlight the volatility and risks within the crypto space, where even substantial investments can lead to significant losses.
