  4. According to a new survey, cryptocurrencies are one of the most unattractive hobbies for men from a woman's perspective. The survey, conducted by the blog Date Psychology, included 814 participants, 48% of whom were women.

    Survey Methodology

The survey was conducted on August 24 and included 814 respondents. Of those, 48% were women, predominantly of high social status, highly educated, and mostly White. Women were asked to rate 74 different hobbies as either 'attractive' or 'unattractive.'

    Survey Results

Cryptocurrencies ranked ninth in the list of the most unattractive hobbies for men. Only 23.1% of women surveyed found cryptocurrencies to be an attractive hobby, while about a third found comic books and cosplaying attractive. This makes cryptocurrencies the second most unattractive 'nerd' hobby, behind collecting Funko products.

Video games and magic tricks also topped the list of most unattractive hobbies for surveyed women.

Interestingly, 13.7% of men surveyed thought women would find men interested in crypto attractive. However, men were correct in thinking that women considered playing an instrument the most attractive hobby.

Women found reading to be the most attractive hobby for a man (98.2%), followed by knowing or learning a foreign language (95.6%) and playing an instrument (95.4%).

    Conclusion and Context

The authors noted that the survey results reflect women's preferences, but hobbies should be based on what a person enjoys. The survey also aligns with the April Pew Research study, which showed that women are more skeptical about investing and using cryptocurrencies compared to men.

Only 10% of the women surveyed had ever traded, used, or invested in cryptocurrency, compared to 25% of men.

In summary, while cryptocurrencies are considered an unattractive hobby for men from the perspective of women, it is important to remember that hobbies should be based on personal interests rather than external judgments.
