The lending platform EraLend recently experienced a significant security breach, resulting in a loss of approximately $2.76 million from the USDC mining pool. The attackers employed a complex strategy, manipulating the price of the oracle machine and dispersing the exploited funds across multiple wallets on three different blockchains. Currently, the funds are distributed among eight addresses, which are being closely monitored by EraLend.

Upon discovering the breach, EraLend quickly mobilized resources and sought the support of various stakeholders, including bridges, security teams, exchanges, and law enforcement, to conduct a comprehensive investigation and trace the flow of the stolen funds. The primary focus is on recovering the stolen assets and ensuring the protection of the protocol’s 500,000 users.

In response to the attack, EraLend has taken immediate measures to mitigate further impact. Borrowing operations, USDC supply, and SyncSwap LP supply have been temporarily paused. The interest rate for the USDC pool has also been significantly reduced to protect borrowing positions from potential liquidation during this vulnerable period.

EraLend is actively seeking assistance from its users and the wider community to aid in the recovery efforts. The platform urges anyone with relevant information to come forward and help in the investigation. In the meantime, all USDC deposits and borrowing activities have been temporarily suspended until further notice. Users are advised to remain vigilant and stay updated on the developments as the situation unfolds.
