Hacken analysts have summarized the incidents in the field of cybersecurity and fraud related to crypto projects during 2023. Attackers managed to steal approximately $1.9 billion. Over the past year, 447 similar incidents were registered in the cryptocurrency industry. Compared to the previous year, losses have significantly decreased, but the number of incidents, on the contrary, has increased.

The report also mentions the case of the Euler Finance hack, where a hacker stole about $200 million in cryptocurrency, but returned all the funds to the project after successful negotiations.

Recent analysis by Arkham Intelligence revealed that the North Korean hacking group Lazarus showed high activity, moving dozens of bitcoins between accounts or through cryptocurrency mixers. In total, hackers from North Korea transferred 27,371 BTC (approximately $1.2 million) to a cryptocurrency mixer, and then sent 3,343 BTC to a previously inactive address.
