In the February Community Update, the Heroes of Mavia team revealed details about game statistics, the fifth season of soft-staking Land NFTs, and a roadmap teasing the imminent release of exciting new features such as Alliance Wars and the Ruby Marketplace.

Skrice Studios has published the February Community Update for their blockchain base builder Heroes of Mavia, revealing impressive stats achieved since the game's launch and teasing upcoming major new features soon to be released.

According to the development roadmap presented in the latest community update, the studio will announce the Layer 2 chain they wish to use by the end of this month. Choosing the right network for integration is crucial for the team, as the L2 will power the entire game's on-chain economy, meaning all transactions on the upcoming Ruby Marketplace will be conducted on this chain.

The team revealed that the Ruby Marketplace is planned to launch in late March or early April and is set to be the "key to converting Web2 players into Web3 enthusiasts." The marketplace is almost completely ready for launch and now requires L2 integration to be fully operational.

In the second quarter of this year, players can expect in-game Ruby & Mavia tournaments, the guild-focused Alliance Wars mode, and the introduction of in-game bonuses for $MAVIA holders, with information on these bonuses to be provided in the future. Alliance Wars will allow Alliances to fight for Gold, Oil, and RUBY, and potentially on-chain items, while tournaments will enable solo players and groups to compete for prize pools featuring RUBY and $MAVIA.

Besides these milestones, the developers will continue to fix issues and improve the game while working on adding new characters, guild management, and Land NFTs, introducing renting in the process. Specific timeframes for these additions were not given in the latest update post.

The fifth season of soft-staking Land NFTs will begin on March 2nd and end on June 2nd. By staking Land NFTs, stakers have the opportunity to get airdrop NFTs once soft-staking ends. Staking Common Land is rewarded with a free "Time Statue" NFT, while Rare Land gets you that NFT plus a rare bonus NFT that is kept as a surprise. Lastly, Legendary Land stakers get all the previously mentioned rewards, plus a surprise NFT of Legendary rarity.

Heroes of Mavia achieved more than 1 million downloads on mobile app stores in less than a week, an outstanding feat for a new Web3 mobile title.
